The Challenge

To provide a designed paving solution to comply with the Local Authority’s requirement for Sustainable Urban Drainage (SuDS). There was also a need for a restraint with aesthetic value for the flower beds which border the houses, and a decorative chip area at the house plinth.

The Solution

Roadstone provided approx. 450m2 of 60mm Aqua Castlestone Limestone Blend with an Aqua Castlestone Charcoal Blend border. There was also 200 linear meters of Castlestone Charcoal Kerb used on the project as well as 14mm Ballylusk decorative chippings supplied from the local Roadstone Retail Outlet.

Roadstone also supplied 280 tonnes of specified Permeable Stone from Belgard quarry.

Roadstone completed a full SuDS design of the pavement. This design was completed in 3 weeks and provided the contractor, free of charge, with details of a full site-specific SuDS system. The design included design levels and cross section details of the paving solution for submission to the Local Authority.
