N11 and N31 Pavement Renewal Scheme Phase 1

Location

The project is located along the N11 Stillorgan Road and N31 Mount Merrion Avenue. All of Mount Merrion Avenue is included within the scheme as well as the section of the N11 from the Mount Merrion Ave junction to Lower Kilmacud Road and the on/off ramps at the Wyattville Road Overbridge. The scheme extents as shown in map below.

Description of the project

The objective of this project is to carry-out pavement renewal works for the extents of the N11 and N31, and as shown in the map above. The works will include but are not limited to, the cold milling of the existing wearing course and a 45mm bituminous inlay replacement.

The Works will also include the following works:

  • Localised pavement repairs
  • Repairs to footpaths/cycletracks
  • Repair and replacement of sections of damaged drainage infrastructure
  • Reinstatment of line marking
  • Resetting of utility covers

Roadstone has been appointed as the main contractor for the works.

Work Duration

Works Duration for project will be approximately 7 months. This will be carried out in 3 Phases.

Phase 1 will be the N31 & works are planned to commence on the 4th October 2021 followed by

Phase 2 which will be the on/off ramps at the Wyattville Road Overbridge. These works are anticipated to be finished by the end of November 2021.

Phase 3 which will be the N11 works will be completed by April 2022.

Residents will be notified by letter drop of the start date of the project.

A second letter drop will be completed one week prior to works commencing and each week thereafter to inform residents/stakeholders of locations of works being completed.
