Roadstone’s ongoing leadership in sustainability was recently recognised at this year’s Green Awards, Ireland’s premier platform for recognising outstanding achievements in environmental sustainability across Irish businesses, with nominations in three different categories.
Since 2008, the Green Awards have highlighted organisations that demonstrate sustainability leadership and environmental innovation. Each year, the programme showcases companies that are setting new standards in environmental stewardship, with shortlisted organisations gaining significant national visibility at the awards ceremony.
Roadstone were delighted to be nominated for three awards; the Green Manufacturer Award, Sustainable Energy Achievement Award and the Green Large Organisation of the Year.

The Green Manufacturer Award recognises companies that are driving a greener future through meaningful action and innovation. Roadstone’s nomination reflects continued progress in low-carbon product development, including the Cevo low-carbon concrete and asphalt ranges, designed to support the demands of a more sustainable built environment and to keep the business on track to reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% this decade.
The Sustainable Energy Achievement Award honours organisations that can demonstrate measurable reductions in energy use, lower carbon emissions, effective implementation of renewable energy and a clear, long-term energy strategy with proven results. Our new 4MW solar PV array in Belgard, which is powering more than 30% of the Dublin site’s operations from this year, gained us a nomination in this category.
Finally, Green Large Organisation of the Year is one of the Green Awards’ flagship categories and among Ireland’s most competitive sustainability honours. It recognises large organisations that show an outstanding, organisation-wide commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership. Over the past year, Roadstone has continued to use its scale and expertise to help drive lower-carbon solutions across Ireland’s construction sector, supporting efforts to reduce the industry’s overall carbon footprint.
These three nominations reflect the progress and commitment of teams across Roadstone as the business continues to reinvent the way our world is built—more sustainably, more efficiently, and with long-term impact.
