Our new low-cab Scania L360s, for instance, embody our Number 1 priority: Safety. Designed for operations in busy urban conditions and awarded a five-star safety rating in Euro NCAP Safer Trucks programme, their pedestrian-level cabs, 360° in-cab cameras and full-vision doors are helping to make both roads and our sites safer for all.
Additional innovations include an advanced emergency braking system capable of detecting pedestrians crossing ahead, alongside a ‘cyclops’ front camera that provides continuous visibility directly in front of the vehicle – an essential feature when manoeuvring in confined spaces.

Roadstone is also investing in cleaner, quieter transport solutions as part of our journey to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.
At the Electric Vehicle Summit & Expo 2025, our first battery powered concrete mixer – the 32-tonne Renault Trucks E-Tech C supplied by Setanta Vehicle Sales – stole the show.
And while the gleaming yellow and blue livery caught the eye, its green credentials were the big talking points, with side-by-side comparisons* to a diesel-powered truck revealing:
🔋Annual fuel cost savings of 70%, and exemption from carbon-based levies and taxes
⬆️Unrestricted access to urban Low and Zero Emission Zones; and
🏘️ Abated CO2e totalling 42 metric tons a year - equivalent to the annual emissions of powering eight households.
What’s more, the vehicle will be powered by green electricity from our own 4MW solar PV array at Belgard, will mean it genuinely has zero fuel emissions.
