Easy Level Screed

Roadstone Easy Level Screed is a factory-produced flowing cementitious floor screed. Site Guide or Onsite Procedure /Pre-installation Guidelines & Preparation of Substrate:-

Bonded Screed the area should be free of dirt & debris , the area should be wetted down to improve bond or a proprietary bonding agent should be used, excessive water should be removed from the area. Movement joints should be planned prior to placing and cast in joints should be secured to the slab to prevent drifting of the joint during placing process, the walls should be separated from the screed by the use of a 10mm upstand. Light steel or polypropylene mesh should be placed at areas most likely to crack, i.e. protruding fire breasts, or at external angles/changes in direction.

Unbonded floating screed ( i.e. on insulation). The insulation should be level and covering the full area, with no gaps or holes as these will act as anchor points and induce cracking, a light plastic DPM should be place over the insulation to stop loss of screed and stop any chemical reaction between the screed and the insulation. Underfloor heating pipes should be fixes firmly to the insulation to provide the correct cover. Movement joints should be place prior to placement of the screed as saw cutting joints is not suitable/compatible with under floor heating, Any creases in the DPM should be removed – DPM’s should not be placed over the pipes.
